I'm new to knitting and stopped by Janie's shop to inquire about classes. The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming - in fact, that day they asked me what I was doing for the next hour or so. When I indicated that I was available, they told me to pull up a chair and they put on a pot of coffee. I had my first lesson. I'm still a beginner...but I stop by the shop as often as I can.

Who wouldn't want a yarn store in their house?! Janie H Knits is a very welcoming store with fantastic service and a great selection of yarns. There are ornamental sheep in the garden, and it's clear that Janie loves her yarn. The staff are friendly and knitters are welcome to sit at the table and chat. Anything not in stock can be ordered in. They also have a variety of knitting-related jewellery and other items, not just the standard knitting, crochet, and spinning supplies.
